Rafaella is currently a student at Tilburg University, pursuing her Master's degree in International Law and Global Governance. Previously, she graduated from the Bachelor of Law program at FGV São Paulo Law School in Brazil. Before joining T.M.C. Asser, she worked as a Business and Human Rights consultant for a specialized firm and as a researcher for the Center for Human Rights and Corporations (FGV São Paulo Law School). She supported companies in high-impact sectors, such as agribusiness and mining, in implementing human rights due diligence, conducting human rights risk mapping, and impact assessments in their operations and supply chains in Latin America. Her primary interests revolve around business and human rights, particularly in the intersection with sports events. She is currently writing her master thesis on the responsibility of private actors in preventing racial discrimination cases during football matches. She also has a keen interest in the agriculture sector, as well as topics related to labor rights, land rights, and food security.
