This new Asser policy brief aims at charting a way forward for the World Anti-Doping System after the Russian state doping scandal. It analyses the shortcomings of the approach of the World Anti-Doping Agency and emphasises the need to focus on compliance by the signatories of the World Anti-Doping Code. The policy brief offers five broad directions for reform and puts forward a number of concrete proposals. Thus, it ambitions to contribute to shaping the current debates on the future of the world anti-doping system after years of acute and repeated crises.
