Caroline is currently finishing her LLM in Public International Law at Leiden University. She previously obtained a bachelor in law and a masters in International and European Law at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, in Belgium. Her undergraduate studies also included an Erasmus at the University of Helsinki, in Finland. Currently, Caroline is writing her LLM thesis on the detention of fighters in non-international armed conflicts.
Caroline’s research interests include international humanitarian law, human rights and European law. On a more personal level, she enjoys travelling, discovering new cultures and learning languages.
