Short Introduction:
I graduated from Utrecht University with a Master’s degree in Dutch Private Law with a focus on International Trade Law. My thesis concerned the application of escape clauses of the Rome Convention and the Rome I Regulation by the Dutch courts and the CJEU in deciding the applicable law to transnational commercial disputes. During my studies I successfully competed in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition.

I also hold an LL.M. in International Business Transactions and Dispute Resolution from the University of Virginia School of Law, where my main focus was on WTO law and investment disputes. I completed my studies with a thesis on Australia’s Plain Packaging Act and its impact on the world’s largest tobacco industries.

I want to pursue a career as a litigator in the field of International Trade and Dispute Resolution.
