I spent a short time after High School at St. Clare’s college in Oxford. Whilst there, I encountered international relations as a formal study for the first time and was immediately inspired towards a career in International and European law. While building the foundation of my knowledge in International and European law, during the BSc at the the University of Groningen, I developed a special interest for environmental law. This was elicited by the Erasmus programme I followed at the University of Siena, Italy, where I had the opportunity to focus on environmental law, biodiversity and sustainable development.

Consequently during my Master at the University of Utrecht I have especially focused myself on the fields of Environmental Law and the Law of the Sea. I prioritize to further develop my critical thinking and research skills and I am currently writing my Masters thesis on the implementation of an eco-system approach to the international management of fisheries.

My fields of interest include public international law, European law, environmental law, sustainable development and the law of the sea.
