Born in South Africa, I came to The Netherlands in 1995 to further my tertiary studies in piano performance; a career which I subsequently pursued for more than 10 years. My previous work experience includes 6 years SIGMA (Support for Improvement in Governance and Management) at the OECD in Paris, as project/regional liaison coordinator. SIGMA is an EU funded rule of law programme which assists IPA and ENP countries in strengthening their public governance systems through technical assistance and capacity building. This work experience inspired me to return to university and deepen my understanding of international development. I graduated from the Institute of Social Studies (Erasmus University Rotterdam) with a Master’s degree in Development Studies at the end of 2015.
Music unquestionably remains one of my passions.
