Olivier van Geel is a trainee at the European Environmental Law (EEL) Network of the Asser Institute. Olivier holds a B.A. in liberal arts & sciences from University College Maastricht, where he focused on international relations and law. In 2016, he obtained an LL.M. in international laws (EU and international law) cum laude from Maastricht University. During his studies, Olivier worked part-time at the European Institute of Public Administration’s EU decision-making unit.
Having grown up abroad, and participated in university exchanges in Hong Kong, South Korea, and China, Olivier has an international outlook, and is an enthusiastic traveller. His research interests include EU and international environmental law, corporate social responsibility, transitional justice, and East Asian international affairs.
