Žygimantas is a PhD-candidate at Leiden University regarding the class action litigation in EU competition law. Žygimantas’ key specialisation lies in EU competition and business law, in which his focus industries are retail and sport. He is currently working on an ambitious research project that analyses EU and national case law and decisional practice as regards the application of EU antitrust law in the sports sector. Furthermore, Žygimantas Juška is Legal associate professional in Motieka & Audzevicius in Vilnius office, dealing with private enforcement litigation in cases concerning abuse of dominant position in the relevant markets and cases regarding illegal concentrations. Prior to joining the Asser institute,  Žygimantas interned in the European Commission DG Comp, where he dealt with hard-core cartels and assessed the compliance of national legislation with EU laws.    

Žygimantas has also accumulated significant experience in international criminal law. Specifically, he worked in the defence team of Dr. Radovan Karadžic at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. He has also represented the Embassy of Lithuania to the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the International Criminal Court and other international tribunals in The Hague.
