Prof. Christophe Hillion

Christophe Hillion is Professor of European law at the Universities of Oslo and Leiden, Research Professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI, Oslo) and Senior Researcher in EU law at the Swedish Institute for European Studies (SIEPS, Stockholm). He regularly advises European governments and institutions on EU legal issues, and on EU policies towards third states. He is a regular commentator on EU law for peer-reviewed journals. He has twelve years of teaching experience in EU law and European Studies at both undergraduate and graduate levels and invited as guest lecturer to different European universities. He has published on EU external relations and constitutional law. His publications include “EU Enlargement: A Legal Approach” (Hart Publishing), “Adaptation for autonomy? Candidates for EU membership and the CFSP” and “The European Union and International Dispute Settlement: Mapping Principles and Conditions”.
