Prof. Marise Cremona

Marise Cremona has been a Professor in the Law Department of EUI since January 2006. Between 2009 and June 2012 she was Head of the Law Department and between June 2012 and August 2013 she was President ad interim of the EUI. Her main research interests are EU external relations, including constitutional principles, trade and development policy, common foreign and security policy, the area of freedom, security and justice, EU and the WTO. She is co-Director of the Academy of European Law and general editor of “The Collected Courses of the Academy of European Law” (eds, OUP) with L. Azoulai and N. Bhuta. She holds editorial positions in the boards of different journals. Her publications include “Private Law in the External Relations of the EU” with H. Micklitz (eds, OUP), “The European Court of Justice and External Relations Law - Constitutional Challenges” with A. Thies (eds, Hart Publishing) and “Compliance and the Enforcement of EU Law” (eds, OUP).
