Dr. Bart Van Vooren

Dr. Bart Van Vooren is a lawyer in the Brussels office of Covington & Burling LLP and Honorary Associate Professor of EU Law at the University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Law. He holds an LL.M. from NYU law school, and a PhD in EU External Relations Law from the European University Institute, Florence. He was admitted to the Brussels bar in 2013, and qualifed in 2016. Aside from his CLEER membership, Bart Van Vooren is also Member of the Legal Committee at the Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce (where he chairs the task force on TTIP), Associate Fellow at the Centre for Global Governance Studies at the University of Leuven, and member of the Editorial Board (responsible for EU external relations) for the journal Studies in European Economic Law and Regulation. He has published several articles and books on EU External Relations law, including EU External Relations Law: Text, Cases and Materials (together with Ramses Wessel).
