On Friday 22 June, Tilburg Law School will host the annual research day of the NNHRR.
The 2018 Toogdag is entitled: "The Future of Human Rights - Human Rights of the Future". During this conference we will take stock and confront some emerging and persistent challenges to human dignity and discuss the role of human rights and human rights law. To what extent is human rights law, 70 years after the adoption of the UDHR, fit for purpose in light of challenges posed by technological developments, corporate conduct, migration flows etc.?
We are delighted that professor Morten Kjaerum, director of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute, has agreed to deliver the key note address.
The key note will be followed by three parallel panels:
- Panel A: Business and human rights: Qua Vadis?
- Panel B: People out of place: what to expect from human rights law?
- Panel C: Human rights in the digital age: new frontiers.
The Toogdag will be concluded with a panel-debate on the future of human rights.
Please see the full program enclosed.
