Rule of Law Capacity Building Project: Protecting Intelligence Sources and Witnesses in Terrorism-Related Court Cases

Project description
Depending on the type of assistance the requesting government is seeking, the capacity building missions may involve, but are not limited to:
- short workshops for national/regional/local legislators, judges, prosecutors and/or other relevant actors tailored to requests and needs;
- guidance in drafting legislation and designing mechanisms that adequately and effectively facilitate the use of intelligence in terrorism-related court cases and/or the protection of sources and witnesses;
- guidance in evaluating and improving existing legislation and mechanisms that adequately and effectively facilitate the use of intelligence in terrorism-related court cases and/or the protection of sources and witnesses;
- Training for relevant actors to adequately and effectively deal with the use of intelligence in terrorism-related court cases and/or the protection of sources and witnesses.
