Lars is currently an LL.B. student at Leiden University. Prior they graduated cum laude from the honours programme of Leiden University College with a bachelor in International Justice. Main fields of interest include queer and postcolonial theories of international law, EU foreign relations law and the intersection of international criminal law and international environmental law. Their bachelor's thesis explored the ability of the International Criminal Court to do justice to queer victims from both a legal and queer theoretical vantage point.
