Raam recently completed his LLM Advanced Studies in Public International Law specialising in Peace, Justice and Development (cum laude) at Leiden University. During his Master's degree, he developed a particular interest in questions of corporate accountability under international human rights law and wrote his thesis on the soft law instruments regulating the social and environmental responsibility of corporations investing in land, situating these instruments within the broader human rights law framework.

Prior to moving to The Netherlands, Raam worked at law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer on a range of international capital markets transactions including Medium Term Note programmes and bond issuances for multinational corporate issuers. Previously, he completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB (Hons)) at the University of Warwick (2011).

Raam is currently an intern in Business and Human Rights at the T.M.C. Asser Instituut and is working on the "Doing Business Right" project.
