Marianna Peroni is a lawyer and LL.M. graduate in Public International Law from the University of Groningen (cum laude). Her research focuses on State responsibility, human rights, humanitarian law, and business and human rights, with a particular interest in accountability mechanisms for mass atrocities and the role of international organisations.
Before joining the Asser Institute, she worked at Boies Schiller Flexner and RPLT Legalitax, where she advised companies, NGOs and third sector entities on compliance with European and international standards in sustainability, human rights and ESG frameworks. She previously gained experience at the Italian Red Cross, providing legal support on labour and human rights issues. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from Roma Tre University, where she focused on public international law and environmental law.
