Inter-university research platforms

The T.M.C. Asser Instituut endeavours to closely cooperate with Dutch and foreign universities and operates through national and international networks of scholars, legal practitioners and professional societies. It actively promotes the creation of research networks in the domains of the Institute, both on a permanent and an ad hoc basis.

Within this inter-university framework, the University of Amsterdam holds a special position as the T.M.C. Asser Instituut’s governing body.

On 8 December 2008, the Deans of the law faculties in the Netherlands, convened in the framework of the Supervisory Board of the T.M.C. Asser Instituut, approved the creation of inter-university research programmes, to be hosted and coordinated by the T.M.C. Asser Instituut in The Hague.
