Project description

Advance and support USAID’s Kazakhstan Judicial Education Project (KJEP) with respect to increasing the capacity of Kazakhstan’s judiciary to effectively adjudicate economic disputes through training and institution support.
Transfer of knowledge and exchange of practical experience on the application of international acknowledged norms of effectively adjudicating commercial law cases, understanding and treatment of commercial law issues, as well as providing the assistance to arbitration in resolving commercial law disputes in accordance with international standards.
To strengthen judges understanding of the relationship between state courts and arbitral tribunals.
To provide judges with the best world experience about enforcement of arbitral awards.
To explain to the judges that state courts are obliged to support the decisions of arbitral tribunals.
To facilitate cooperation with Dutch judicial authorities, capacity building, interaction and integration
To increase the capacity of Kazakhstan’s judiciary to effectively adjudicate economic disputes through training and institution support where the focus was on Arbitral Awards in International Commerce.
