Dr. Angelos Dimopoulos
Angelos Dimopoulos joined Queen Mary in September 2013 as a Lecturer in Law. His research focusses on EU external relations law, international investment law and the law of the Economic and Monetary Union and he has published extensively on these topics. Prior to joining the Department of Law, he was Assistant Professor at Tilburg University and the Research Coordinator of the Tilburg Law and Economics Centre. He obtained his PhD in Law at the EUI in 2010. During his doctoral studies he conducted research as a visiting scholar at Columbia Law School and the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law (Cambridge) and taught EU law at the University of Utrecht. Among his publications are “EU Foreign Investment Law” (OUP), “The Development of EU Trade and Investment Policies: Drawing Lessons from Past Experiences” and “The Validity and Applicability of International Investment Agreements between EU Member States under EU and International law”.
