Dr. Guillaume van der Loo

Guillaume Van der Loo is Postdoctoral Researcher (FWO) at the Ghent European Law Institute (GELI). He holds a master’s degree in European Studies (Ghent University, 2009, Greatest Distinction) and obtained a Master of Advanced Studies in European Law (Ghent University, 2010, Great Distinction). His research area concerns the external relations of the European Union, the trade policy of the Union and several aspects of the law of the WTO. His publications include “Assessing the European neighbourhood policy: perspectives from the Literature” (Rowman and Littlefield International), “The EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area: a new legal instrument for EU integration without membership?” (Brill Nijhoff) and “Continuity and change in the legal relations between the EU and its neighbours: a result of path dependency and spill-over effects” with P. van Elsuwege.
