Doctoral Research Forum

The Netherlands Network for Human Rights Research is pleased to announce its first Doctoral Research Forum!
The first edition will be held online in partnership with Erasmus University Rotterdam in the last week of February 2021. The Forum will bring together a group of PhD members who engage in research in the field of human rights. The objective is for participants to present their work in a collaborative setting and facilitate peer to peer exchange as well as interaction and mentorship between junior and senior members.
We accept submissions from PhD members at any stage of their doctoral project, and particularly encourage applications from those who are currently in the first and second years of their PhD programme. Abstracts can outline the candidate’s research project, a chapter of their thesis, or an article in progress. Selected presenters will also have the opportunity to publish a post on the Network’s Human Rights Here blog subject to editorial review.
To apply, please submit a PDF file with an abstract of no more than 500 words in length and five key words to <>, and include your abstract title, your name, affiliation, contact information, and CV. If you already have a senior member of the Network in mind to act as a discussant for your presentation, please include their name.
For questions, please contact Stephanie Triefus at <>. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 10 December 2020. Candidates whose submissions are selected will be notified by 10 January 2021.
Please note that only NNHRR members who are PhD candidates at the time of the Forum are eligible to participate. For more information on how to join the NNHRR, visit here.
