Join us for this Jean Monnet workshop for an in-depth discussion of how EU diplomacy is perceived by countries around the globe and what the EU can learn from these experiences. The workshop convenes experts from different strategic partners around the world to explore EU diplomacy from the perspectives of Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Singapore, South Africa as well as neighboring countries such as Israel, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, North Macedonia, and Norway.
Building on the work of previous EUDIPLO activities it will assess and further develop the theoretical and conceptual underpinnings of the EU’s diplomatic activities by analysing EU diplomatic competences and activities from an external perspective.
The conference is organised by the Department of European and Economic Law of the University of Groningen in the context of the EUDIPLO network on “The European Union in International Diplomatic Relations”, in close cooperation with the Centre for the Law of EU External Relations (CLEER) and the Asser Institute.
Programme is being finalised and will be uploaded here soon.
