Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the format of our summer programmes might be subject to change. While we strive to welcome you on our premises in The Hague, we might be forced to move the programmes to an online platform. Should this happen, we will offer you a reduced fee. If you had already paid for your spot, you will get reimbursed the difference in price. Registered participants will receive notification of the format at least a month before the starting date.

Study International Law in the Legal Capital of the World - The Hague
The T.M.C. Asser Instituut has a long-standing experience in delivering postgraduate training programmes and disseminating knowledge in the field of international law. Together with partners from complementary fields, the institute delivers unique summer programmes in different areas of international law.
Upcoming training activities in 2020 and 2021:
- [Online summer workshop] International public interest advocacy
The Asser Institute is hosting, for the first time, a 3-day online workshop on International public interest advocacy. During the workshop, we explore the challenges of public interest advocacy in international law and rethink what it means to be a lawyer working on behalf of public interests in the international system. What tactics and methods can be used to advocate for a public interest? How can practitioners find the right cause and identify funding opportunities to support effective action? The workshop will take place online from 1 until 3 July 2020.
- [Training programme] Disarmament and non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction
The OPCW and Asser Institute will host the 11th training programme on disarmament and non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. During this intensive week, participants will be provided with a comprehensive overview of non-proliferation and disarmament efforts regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction. The programme content is delivered by a group of experienced and internationally renowned experts and diplomats in the fields of international law, security and related disciplines. The training programme will take place at the Asser Institute (28 Sep-2 Oct 2020). Watch the summary of last year's programme here.
