ICL-TCL Training Course 2024
The new call for the NUFFIC individual Orange Knowledge Programme scholarship is opened for candidates.
The T.M.C. Asser Instituut will be organising 2 trainings entitled 'Training on international and transnational criminal law for prosecutors and judges' in 2024.
- The French training offers a high-quality training on the prosecution and adjudication of international and transnational crimes to strengthen domestic capacity to prosecute international and transnational crimes in Africa.
- The Spanish training offers a high-quality training on the prosecution and adjudication of international and transnational crimes to strengthen domestic capacity to prosecute international and transnational crimes in South-America.
The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP-NUFFIC) offers participants from certain countries the opportunity to apply for OKP scholarships, for Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, DR Congo, Mali, Niger and Rwanda; for South-America: Colombia. If awarded, the scholarship would cover the costs of the training course in The Hague.
To apply for the OKP scholarship, you need to submit an individual application via the following link.
The internal deadline for applications is 4 September 2023 at 16:00 Dutch time.
The following documents are required:
- A registration form to be completed directly on the website:
- An employer declaration form;
- French Training
- Spanish Training: English template (Spanish translation as guide). Candidates can fill in the English template in Spanish.
- An identity document (passport);
- For participants from Benin, Burundi, Mali and Niger: a declaration from the relevant public authority.

Step 1 :
Click on the link above; select either the Training course in French or in Spanish; and fill in the form. As you will see, the form is in English. However, you can complete it in French or Spanish. To make it easier for you to apply, we have attached a translation of the questions on the registration form.
Step 2:
Download the above forms, complete the forms and upload the final documents as PDF format.
The following documents needed are as follows
1) the employer declaration form;
2) the identity document;
3) for participants from Benin, Burundi, Mali and Niger: the declaration of the relevant public authority.
Please complete the forms as fully and accurately as possible. We advise you to pay particular attention to the description of your motivation. In the employer's declaration, it is also important to clearly describe the planned activities and how these relate to the themes of the training course "Capacity building for magistrates in the prosecution of international and transnational crimes in Africa or South-America". This will be one of the decisive factors for the funding organisation, NUFFIC.
